Flow meters type ENMAG Ex for use in fire hazardous areas

The Ex version of a flow meter is manufactured and sold under the trade name of ENMAG Ex. It is a device placed in an intrinsically safe housing and it meets the requirements applicable for potentially explosive atmospheres..
It is certificated with a WE type examination certificate: KDB09 ATEX 031X issued by the Central Mining Institute, the degree of explosion protection: I M2 Ex ia I.

The ENMAG Ex flow meter is designed for liquid flow measurement in closed piping systems installed both in underground mining excavations and above-ground hazardous areas at risk of dust, vapours, mists and gases explosions.

It can also be used in Z2 and Z22 hazard zones.


Flow meter ENMAG Ex features:

  • meet requirements of current regulations according to directives MID, OIML R49-1
  • wide range of measurement from 0 to 10 [m/s]
  • wide range of electrodes and linings materials ensuring aggressive and abrasive medium measurement (for example mining sludge)
  • magnetic field control and precise "0" stabilization improve stability and measurement accuracy
  • empty pipe sensor
  • self diagnostics with failures registration
  • multifunctional outputs for control systems
  • digital communication RS-485, protocol MODBUS (RTU, ASCII)
  • long life time (no moving parts, no maintenance required)
  • a very high resistance for ambient conditions
